WDMP recruits team for the future

WDMP recruits team for the futureWDMP is backing the direct marketing industry’s drive to attract future talent by hiring a young creative team, who beat off stiff competition to win Iris’ Academy of Extraordinary creative competition in 2013.
Jorge Oliveira and Valentina Lauro, who met in a pub, have enjoyed stints at VCCP, WARL, Doner and TMW since completing their placement at Iris.
And, earlier this year, they joined OgilvyOne’s social media team to work on Nescafe and Phillips.
At WDMP, the duo will be working across the full range of the agency’s clients, including Tesco Bank and Monarch Airlines – for which it scooped the grand prix at the 2013 DMA Awards.
WDMP creative director Gary Brooks – who joined from OgilvyAction a year ago – said: “These are exciting times for the agency. We’re growing rapidly because we believe we have something unique to offer.
“The digital innovation and ability to craft beautiful game-changing ideas that Jorge and Vale bring to the agency will be key to driving forward our commitment to social CRM.”
The agency is also involved in the annual “Win an Agency” competition run by the Marketing Agencies Association. This year it took on the account for CaféPod, a premium instant coffee capsule brand.
