So, another week, another iPhone launch, and at just under £1,000 you may be wondering, what sort of person will want to get their sticky mitts on one of those?
Well, dear readers, I am sure Apple does plenty of market research to find out its target market but if you want to know the real story, may I suggest you go to the insights blog at Pornhub, which perhaps unsurprisingly goes deep, very deep, into the minds of your average iPhone X fan?
Not that I am always on everyone’s favourite adult entertainment site, it’s just that as I am still crafting my application for that $25,000 Pornhub Cares Scholarship, I have to ensure that I am bang up to date with its output.
Anyway, during Apple’s big reveal on Tuesday, traffic to Pornhub literally went through the floor, as eager fans licked their lips – and probably everything else too – at the prospect of the new device which not only promises face-recognition security and wireless charging, but Animojis: “custom-animated messages that use your voice and reflect your facial expressions”. Calm down, calm down, it’s only a telephone you know.
But thanks to Pornhub, we also know why it is called the “iPhone X”, as apparently users of iPhones and iPads are massive porn users, and are most likely to search for “lesbian”, followed by “milf”, “ebony” and “step mom”. Desktop users of MacOS are most likely to search for “Asian”, followed by “milf”, “massage” and “college”.
Ebony is the category of videos most often viewed on iOS mobile devices, followed by lesbian and milf. The same categories are the top three on MacOS as well, but in the order of lesbian, milf and ebony.
Not only that, but virtually as soon as the presentation at the Steve Jobs Theatre finished, Pornhub witnessed a massive spike in traffic.
Now call me old fashioned, but doesn’t this just prove what everyone knows about iPhone fans anyway…they’re all complete wankers.
