Former ZenithOptimedia UK boss Tim Hipperson has set up his own consultancy, Morph Management, a fortnight after leaving the media company where he had been chief executive for just six months.
It was initially thought that Hipperson would seek a new role within ZenithOptimedia’s holding company – Publicis Groupe – although the launch of his own consultancy would suggest that he has now quit the business.
According to the official blurb, “Morph is a consultancy business for the communications industry and its clients, consulting on how to structure for effective data and technology driven communications to build ‘an engineered digital business’ Morph are experts in interactive evolution”.
Hipperson stepped down following the loss of ZenithOptimedia’s biggest account – the £135m L’Oréal business – having only joined in April this year.
He started his career at the Database Group in 1990, then in 1995 became data planning director at Tequila. He went on to hold senior roles at McCann Relationship Marketing, DraftFCB, RMG and G2 Joshua before quitting to take on the ZenithOptimedia role.
The agency is to share Hipperson’s responsibilities among a new UK and worldwide management board, chaired by ZenithOptimedia global managing partner Belinda Rowe, while managing director of client service Tom Cijffers has been appointed MD of Zenith UK.
