Online adult retailer Lovehoney is getting down and dirty with a raunchy new TV ad to mark National Orgasm Day, today (July 31), featuring real couples frolicking in bedrooms, wardrobes, sitting room and kitchens across the land.
The ad, under the strapline “Turn up the turn on” promotes the company’s range of sex toys and has been created by Brave, which also devised a 2016 campaign “Bunnies”.
It opens with a finger pressing a doorbell, and the voiceover states: “Listen up Britain, Lovehoney’s at your service, because who doesn’t want better sex? So if it’s your first sex toy tingle or your next bedroom buzz, we’ve got it all. Because no matter who you are or who you share your sheets with, it’s time to say yes to oh yes and turn up the turn on.”
It will run on channels including E4, ITVBe, ClubMTV, MTVClassic, MTVHits, Comedy Central, and E!
Lovehoney brand and marketing director Helen Balmer said: “We’ve really hit the spot with the new campaign, which we know through our consumer research will create conversations and change perception of sex toys as well as entertain.”
The retailer recently hailed the implementation of a new customer experience platform for an increase in converting first time shoppers, many of whom are reluctant to buy products because they are concerned whether their purchase choice is “normal”.
The company, whose products include sex toys, lingerie and lubes, has brought in personalisation solution Monetate, along with customer experience optimisation consultancy LeanConvert to run the programme.
