Macmillan Cancer Support is understood to be hunting a new agency to handle the direct marketing strategy for its signature event – the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning – which has been handled by Kitcatt Nohr for the past two years.
Creativebrief has already contacted a number of agencies about the brief, which will cover next year’s event. It is not known whether the activity also includes the Macmillan “Night In”.
The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, which takes place in September, is the charity largest fundraising event, in which people across the UK hold a coffee morning and raise money for people living with cancer. Last year’s efforts raised £25m. Marks & Spencer and Nationwide sponsor the initiative.
Meanwhile the Night In, which is held in May, is designed for fundraisers to invite friends and family round and donate what they would have spent on a night out, to Macmillan.
Macmillan works a number of businesses across its marketing activity, including WPN Chameleon and Medialab. VCCP handles Macmillan’s ad account.
