Mobile specialist hands TV push to Media Octopus

envirofoneEnvirofone, which claims to be the UK’s leading mobile phone recycling service with more than 4 million “happy” customers, has strengthened its relationship with The Media Octopus by handing the Manchester digital agency its Christmas TV advertising campaign.
With a new mobile phone at the top of many people’s Christmas list, the festive season is one of the company’s key periods.
Set up a decade ago, Envirofone is part of Redeem Holdings, a global firm which offers recycling solutions for a range of hand-held technologies.
The company specialises in both buying and selling – or recyling – mobiles. Consumers type in the make and model of the phone they want to buy or sell and the company then offers them a price. Bought phones comes with a six-month warrantee.
It claims that around 95% of the traded-in devices it handles are data-wiped, refurbished and resold. The 5% that cannot be restored are fully recycled, leading to zero waste going to landfill. Redeem provides the data and certification to satisfy the EU recycling legislation.
TMO is the incumbent agency for The Envirofone social media lead generation programme but as Envirofone’s integrated marketing strategy expands, the agency’s remit has expanded with it.
The Envirofone win comes on the back of recent digital wins from Doncaster Council, Scotmid Cooperative and Betta Living.
Media Octopus chief executive Michael Winniczuk said: “The confidence Envirofone has shown in us to expand our remit is particularly pleasing to me – the team are doing a great job. Of late, we have been implementing more and more TV campaigns for clients – the latest TV targeting methodologies has really driven brands to place TV advertising at the forefront of their lead generation activity.”
