The Content Marketing Association, formerly the APA, has appointed ITV commercial chief Clare Hill to succeed Julia Hutchison as the public face of the industry group.
Hill becomes managing director, and although Hutchison – who left in November – was chief operating officer, Hill will effectively carry out her duties.
The appointment follows the rebrand of the association last year from APA; a move designed to reflect more accurately the work of its members and the content marketing proposition.
Hill brings more than 12 years’ media, marketing and management experience, particularly across film and TV, having worked for Universal Pictures on DreamWorks content and Anchor Bay Entertainment. She then joined ITV in 2007 as commercial director and was most recently director of UK, managing the sales and marketing for ITV’s Home Entertainment product portfolio.
She has bee tasked with championing content marketing as an effective tool for brands. In particular she will be responsible for attracting a greater diversity of members to build on the strong foundation of the CMA to the benefit of all its members.
Hill said: “As the leading content marketing association in the world, the CMA represents an industry at the forefront of consumer engagement. I am very much looking forward to working with the team and our member agencies to carry on promoting the growing value of this exciting industry.”
