British online firm Bras & Honey – which specialises in lingerie and swimwear for bigger busted women – is expanding its over-sized brand into the US market after buying an independent lingerie company based in San Diego, California.
Launching in 2007, the company makes no bones about its products, describing itself as the “one-stop-shop for every curvy girl’s lingerie needs” specifically designed “for ladies who love to flaunt their assets”.
It adds: “For women wanting to spice up their lingerie drawers for the summer, Bras & Honey has a treasure trove of garments, from elegant and sultry to fun and flirty. All designs are fashioned exclusively with busty girls in mind.”
Bras & Honey director Nicola Rodney-Crook said: “Since throwing open the doors of our online e-boutique in 2007 we’ve received a wildly positive response from the British market. When the opportunity arose to expand to US shores we wholeheartedly harnessed it. Busty American women have exactly the same issues as ladies across the pond and we’re confident that they’ll love every garment showcased on our site.”
She added: “The existing San Diego business had very similar values to Bras & Honey which is what attracted us to it in the first place. It has gorgeous garments, a readymade customer base and a great vibe. After the merge, we’re expecting both arms of the business to really start to boom.”
