Diabetes UK, the UK charity for those affected by diabetes, has handed its summer loyalty mailing campaign to Targetbase Claydon Heeley following a three-way pitch.
The initiative, under the strapline “Thanks to You”, is designed to show the charity’s appreciation to regular givers for their continued support; demonstrating how their donations have enabled Diabetes UK to embark on three groundbreaking pieces of research.
The pack will be sent to the supporter base, primarily people with Type 1 or Type 2 Diabetes, or those closely affected by the condition. With more than one in 20 people having diabetes – diagnosed or undiagnosed – the charity works in care, prevention, support, and research.
Targetbase Claydon Heeley chief executive Steve Grout said: “Diabetes UK is a fantastic charity which is striving to do more to help people with diabetes and those at risk. Diabetes is a growing problem in the UK, with 2.9 million people who have the condition, so everything we can do to increase income is important.”
Diabetes UK supporter development manager Adam Morecroft added: “Targetbase Claydon Heeley are bringing real creative insight and data driven knowledge to us; we believe the creative work will really resonate with our supporter base.
“It’s important for us to communicate with the right tone but also to engage effectively with our supporter base. We have to reinforce a sense of engagement to maintain loyalty but still raise funds as we know this group are an important and generous donor segment for us.”
