Wanda Goldwag has added to her impressive list of non-executive roles by joining Ethical Goods – a company which helps businesses turn their ethics and natural social responsibility into competitive advantage – as chairman.
Goldwag started her career as direct marketing manager at Yves Rocher in 1979, and held various roles both client and agency side at the likes of WWAV, Smith Bundy, Thomas Cook and Thorn EMI before taking up the role of executive director of Air Miles in 1996. After four years she joined Queercompany as managing director, where she stayed until 2002.
These days Goldwag juggles numerous advisory roles, including non-exec posts at music firm PRS and recruitment company True North Human Capital, as well as being a general advisor to Smedvig Venture Capital and a Civil Service Commissioner.
She is also finance director of Eaves Housing, a charity providing safe housing and care for women, and non-executive chair. She was a Postcomm Commissioner for over six years until September 2011.
Goldwag said: “The Ethical Goods proposition is new and compelling – liberate pride from within a business in the ethics of who they are and accelerate achievement of commercial goals – a much over used phrase but for once it applies, its win/win.”
Ethical Goods managing director Duncan Parker added: “Wanda brings a wealth of commercial experience with a huge vision and ability to direct us there. At a time where increasing numbers of consumers are looking for both value and values, we feel well positioned with Wanda at the helm to support manufacturers and retailers adjust to this new environment.”
