Govt hackers post fake 007 job ad

The job section of the Government’s new website, Gov.UK, has been hacked into and defaced with a spoof ad for a James Bond-style secret agent, under the job code 007.
The job, supposedly as part of the Secret Intelligence Service, is titled “target elimination specialist”, and would “involve international travel to a number of countries where individuals need to be removed”.
Among the roles included in the job is for the candidate to be able to “remove people whose continued existence poses a risk to the effective conduct of public order”.
“The job holder will receive all necessary equipment, including passports, special watches, jet packs, mini-submarines and a Walther PPK. This role is particularly appropriate for those who like their Martinis shaken and not stirred.”
While the hack is obviously more of a joke than a malicious attack, some experts have warned that it shows just how easy the Government’s pages are to hack, opening up questions as to the security in place in government around key websites.
The other possibility is that the page is the work of a disgruntled employee, although the Government’s press office refused to comment.
