Iris duo join Prideaux to form agency ECD threesome

Henry-Scotland-Rachid-AhouiyekFor most agencies, one executive creative director normally suffices, but not doubt Iris would argue it is not like most agencies, with the promotion of Henry Scotland and Rachid Ahouiyek to joint ECDs to work alongside ECD David Prideaux making three the magic number.
The agency, which has over 100 creatives in the London department alone, also has a European ECD in Grant Hunter and a global chief creative officer in Shaun McIlrath.
Scotland has been at Iris since 2003, joining from KLP Euro RSCG Entertainment in 1996, with a background in music, sport and experiential. Ahouiyek joined in April 2017 from McCann, having also worked as a designer, writer and film director at Wieden+Kennedy and Saatchi & Saatchi.
They have worked together for over two years on the Adidas account, as well as on recent Barclays and Samsung campaigns.
Grant Hunter said: “Our best work has always come from a non-traditional place. With these two, more often than not, you get work that feels more like culture than comms. The combination of Henry and Rachid, joining David, will bolster the London office’s strong, forward-facing, creative leadership, giving us more bandwidth and non-traditional expertise.”
Henry and Rachid said: “We’ll be all about backing the right talent with the right energy. If you like the sound of that, get in touch.”
Late last year, Iris rekindled its relationship with WDMP by signing a deal to acquire a major stake in the independent business, as part of plans to boost its own CRM unit.
WDMP, which was launched in 2002 by former client marketer Gavin Wheeler and his brother Craig with backing from Iris, moved into Iris’ London office but remains a separate agency within the Iris network and retains its brand.
