Macmillan Cancer Support hands task to MRM McCann

macmillan2Macmillan Cancer Support has appointed MRM McCann to devise a CRM strategy following a competitive pitch handled by Creativebrief.
The charity has briefed the agency to help it build long-term relationships with people from the point of their diagnosis and advise them on how to deal with the physical, emotional and financial impact of the disease.
The move follows the launch of a major campaign promoting Macmillian’s new proposition, ‘Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you’. Devised by VCCP, the initiative is designed to show how the charity supports people at all stages of the condition, their families, friends, communities and its supporters.
Macmillan head of cancer support marketing Alasdair Glen said: “MRM McCann demonstrated a real understanding of our ambition to be there for everyone who receives a cancer diagnosis and the importance of us being able to realise our aim. The team will bring invaluable expertise to help us reach people living with cancer when they are most in need of our support, and help them face whatever their diagnosis throws their way.”
With the number of people living with cancer in the UK set to grow to around 4 million by 2030, Macmillan faces an urgent need to help more people face the complex physical, financial and emotional impacts of the disease.
