Direct Line Group – the company which owns Churchill, Direct Line, Green Flag and Privilege brands – has retained MRM McCann for its direct marketing account following a competitive pitch.
The insurance giant first appointed the agency in 2012, soon after it was formed from the merger of Meteorite and MRM; the agency rebranded MRM McCann earlier this year.
The review, which kicked off in the summer, was handled inhouse and it is understood that both Havas and Ogilvy were also involved.
MRM McCann will handle all direct activity across the entire brand portfolio, as well as promotional marketing and brand partnerships.
Direct Line Group head of below-the-line campaign strategy and planning Iain Agnew said: “MRM have played a valuable part in contributing to our business growth over the years. We look forward to working with them on our medium- to long-term strategy to ensure continued success.”
