Space airs John Smith’s Stadium

Heineken’s new brand identity for the John Smith’s Stadium in Huddersfield – home to Huddersfield Town FC and Huddersfield Giants RFC – has been devised by agency Space and will be used in all marketing activity as well as venue signage.
The logo combines John Smith’s branding with the stadium’s arch, which is a key feature of the local landscape, and is designed to reflect the brand’s Tadcaster roots.
The identity and John Smith’s tone of voice will be used progressively across stadium branding to bring the match day journey to life in a typical John Smith’s ‘No Nonsense’ fashion.
Karen Crowley, John Smith’s senior brand manager at Heineken, said: “The John Smith’s Stadium reflects the brand’s Northern roots and reinforces our commitment to the county where John Smith’s has been brewed in Tadcaster for more than 250 years.
“The new partnership with Kirklees Stadium Development Ltd (KSDL) provides an outstanding showcase in a superb setting for John Smith’s and other Heineken beer and cider brands.”
Space senior account director Sean Kelly added: “This has been a fantastic opportunity to bring this partnership to life for John Smith’s and the match day fans. We look forward to sharing in the highs and lows with them both at the John Smith’s Stadium this season.
