Spooner, formerly planning partner, will now take overall responsibility for the creative output for the Cello-owned agency as it looks to broaden its client base.
Both will report to Karen Trickett, the agency’s chief operating officer.
Starting his career at IMC as a copywriter in 1983, Spooner had spells at Smith Bundy, Wunderman and Y&R – in London and New York – before joining WWAV (now Rapp) in 1993. He left to become creative director at CCHM: Ping in 2002 and when the agency was bought by Tangible he worked at Tangible Financial until July 2009. Spooner has been creative partner at the main agency ever since.
Becque started client-side at BMW, then switched agency side in 1990, and has worked at EHS Brann (now Havas EHS), InboxDMG and Digitas. He joined Elvis in February 2010.
Spooner said: “I’m delighted to be given the opportunity to work closely with Paul to enhance and perfect the Tangible offering in London, Edinburgh and Cheltenham. We’ve had some notable successes here lately, especially in developing our relationships with Royal Mail, Royal British Legion and Sainsbury’s and Paul will bring a fresh and exciting perspective to our business – one that should ensure that success becomes an ever more familiar thing here at Tangible.”
Becque added: “We’ve never been in a better position to turn the glorious individuality of our clients customers and supporters into stronger, more valuable relationships. At Tangible I will be able to align some great minds and all the necessary components of smart, dynamic, intelligence-inspired communication across multiple touch points. I want to put Tangible at the forefront of future-focused relationship marketing.”
