Bulk mailers have been given a boost with the launch of a new rapid postal sortation package called SwiftSort, from the Software Bureau, which can also maximise discounts from the main postal operators.
The company, best known for its Cygnus data processing software, claims SwiftSort is the most comprehensive sortation software available in the UK market and is fully accredited by both Royal Mail Retail and Wholesale.
Using the PAF database, mailers can generate a DPS (Delivery Point Suffix) to maximise the mailing discounts available from Royal Mail, TNT, UK Mail, Citipost and Secured Mail.
Built to handle the most demanding mailing house applications, SwiftSort can be implemented across the full spectrum of mailers and caters for all volumes of data, at high speed across all Windows-based platforms.
In tests by some of the UK’s leading mailers, the Software Bureau claims SwiftSort has sorted mailing files over twice as fast as its closest rival while maintaining accurate sortations. But it has a simple, three-step, project set-up process and user friendly wizard-driven interface.
To cater for the increase in transactional and automated workflows, SwiftSort has been designed to be fully integrated within automated production workflows – a prerequisite for many mail production environments. Coupled with automated remote software and resource updates, this can mean zero user maintenance; a huge timesaver given the regular changes to Royal Mail reference data.
The Software Bureau sales and marketing director David Murray (pictured) said: “The release of SwiftSort is an exciting milestone in The Software Bureau’s history. With our expertise in mailing software with Cygnus, we have combined ease of use, accurate matching and automation to create a very fast and powerful standalone sortation module. Catering for Royal Mail Retail and DSA carrier sortations, we have developed the most comprehensive Bulk Mail sortation software in the UK market, which has received positive feedback from early adopters. SwiftSort will certainly fill a burgeoning gap in the sortation software mailing arena.”
