The company which runs the league’s websites, DFL Digital Sports, has appointed e-Spirit to make site updates quicker and more flexible in an effort to boost interaction with football fans through its FirstSpirit platform.
As part of a new centralised content platform for Bundesliga.com and Bundesliga.de, FirstSpirit will enable match information, scores, statistics and news from the Bundesliga to be published in real time. The CMS automatically ensures that the content is correctly shared across all channels and devices.
Web editors will be able to easily access all necessary functions and content from neighbouring systems, without system interruptions or a high manual workload.
“With the help of e-Spirit, the editorial teams that create and update our multilingual websites are now able to get the content online very quickly,” commented Andreas Heyden, managing director of DFL Digital Sports.
e-Spirit was founded in 1999 and has operations in 16 countries, including the UK, Germany, the US, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Austria.
