Busty sees rising star bang one in

gossip-three-23-300x3001I tell you what, this life as a WAG is tough going; you may not be too surprised to hear that I’m black and blue after being battered and flooded out all week. Not that I usually mind that, to be honest, but sadly I’m not talking about the WAG action, I’m talking about the bloody weather.
As you may recall, I’ve got my beady eye on the budding football star son of gorgeous Mark Fiddes, Fiddes Jnr, who plies his trade down at Weston Super Mare FC. So, what better way to check him out than by taking a little trip down to North Somerset to watch him go through his paces?
But with the whole of the West Country under seige from the elements, I was beginning to wonder whether it was all worth the effort. However, I’m sure you’ll believe me when I say it was – not only did I see his full potential, he also banged one in after 83 minutes.
No, he didn’t bang one in me…what kind of girl do you take me for? He scored the third goal in a 3-0 rout of the mighty, er, Maidenhead United. My rather loud goal celebration did raise a few eyebrows but, hey, a girl’s gotta get noticed somehow. That boy’s going places, you mark my words… One day I might even get to meet him.
There was also some cheer this week for readers of Campaign, the industry wank mag, after it – to repeat their official line – “refreshed its design and content, as part of a strategy to increase its international focus and place a stronger emphasis on digital innovation” by, ahem, bringing back the Diary page.
To be honest, I thought that was the only page anyone ever read, although it seems editor Danny Rogers’ desire to make the magazine a serious read, seriously backfired.
Not that the first Diary for nearly 12 months would have had anyone exactly rolling in the aisles. A quick dig at Kitcatt Nohr – and who could argue with that? – was followed by a tedious piece about former Havas chief David Jones getting “down wid da kids” and some nonsense about the boss of Ocean Outdoor.
At the risk of blowing my own trumpet, I don’t think I’ll be having many sleepless nights about the competition. I wouldn’t mind having some sleepless nights with Fiddes Jnr though…
