Here, there, he’s everywhere…

Ever get the feeling you’re being stalked? Now, I realise there are some desperate people out there but this week everywhere I turn EHS 4D’s chief executive Matt Atkinson seems to be looming large.
Well, when I say looming “large”, obviously that’s a slight exaggeration, as, at 5-foot nothing, even Matt would have difficulty doing that.
Anyway, as you may well know he’s just about to leave EHS for the bright lights of Tesco. Now you may recall a few months back I was walking the aisles of my local store and an announcement came over the tannoy “Will Terry Hunt please contact customer services”. All I can think is that my local must be very popular as, would you believe it, this week the same voice said “Would Mr Atkinson please go to the electrical department”. Guess he must be starting early…
Next up I was on the Underground and the person opposite caught my eye as his feet didn’t quite reach the floor. Who was it? Yep, you guessed it, mini Matt. And then on the way home I was sitting there minding my own business when a lycra-clad man sat down next to me and opened a cycling mag on a double-page profile spread of yep, you guessed it again, Matt bloody Atkinson. As charming as he is, I bet even his missus wouldn’t like to see him that often…
One person we won’t be seeing much of for a while is SFW’s Ben Stephens, who is likely to be up to his eyeballs in DIY having just moved into a 200-year-old thatched cottage, which it is said, is showing more than a few signs of age. Luckily for Ben I was able to give him a few DIY tips as the pay on this website is so poor I have recently joined the Orange bib brigade at B&Q. To be fair, the money is crap there too, but the security guard turns a blind eye to my love of a power tool.
Mind you, Ben’s no fool you know. The building he’s bought is a former Post Office so he’s apparently trying to negotiate with Royal Mail to secure a better discount on the agency’s mailing campaigns by getting them picked up from his house…
Anyway, I must dash, I’m off on my hols this weekend. I thought I might take the family down to the West Country; should be really quiet down there…
