At last, dear readers, I’ve found a kindred spirit which doesn’t come with batteries. And, just to prove to my esteemed editor that I do read his musings, I actually met my new pal on this very website.
As regular readers among you will know, little ol’ Busty’s love life has not exactly been on fire of late. OK, I admit my penchant for married agency chiefs and jockeys does enable me to “de-stress” sometimes, but love? It’s proving as elusive as Ivor Big’un.
Now, it seems, I’m not alone. Comedy actress and scriptwriter Maddy Anholt is also an eternal lonely heart. And, give her her due, she’s actually trying to do something about it by joining a crowd funding site to pay for a trip to the Edinburgh Festival to boost her search for Mr Right.
Our Maddy has even managed to persuade Sarah Beany to climb aboard – and I bet some of you fellas wouldn’t mind a bit of that either.
My new bezzie mate, who by the way is drop-dead gorgeous, reckons that any country which can produce the likes of Gerard Butler, Ewan McGregor, and James McAvoy, must be “literally teaming with talent”. However, I must admit, I’m not so sure – she seems to have ignored the fact that Jockland also produced Alec Salmond, Rab C Nesbitt and the Krankies.
Still, it’s the next bit which is a real opportunity for all of the sisterhood, as anyone who invests in Maddy’s quest will get a 50% discount off Beany’s dating website, MySingleFriend.com, which, unlike Scotland, is apparently chock-a-block with fit blokes.
So, the more money we donate to Maddy (@MaddyAnholt1 and #AskMaddy) the longer her gorgeousness will be out of the way with the Sweaties, meaning us girls will be able clean up everywhere else. Come on sisters, what are you waiting for?
