Sisters still doing it for themselves

BustyNever let it be said that I don’t do my bit for the sisterhood, after all life’s tough enough for us girls already without slagging off our own – even though I am yet to gain the full approval of the DM agency Muffia…come on babes, isn’t about time you let me in?
So I have to say I too was shocked and disgusted to see that new ad campaign by Dear Kate, the “performance underwear for high performing women: beautiful, breathable, & unbelievably comfortable”.
Eschewing professional models (too right) to showcase the company’s newest product line, Dear Kate has featured female tech executives wearing nothing but their undies (click here to see it in all its glory).
And the reason for my disgust? Reinforcing sexist stereotypes? Encouraging sexual abuse and misogyny? Think again, girls, have you seen the size of Ms Conley? Come on sister, I know BBWs have their place but really, your place is out of shot, hun.
Talking of porkers, I had a very interesting email this week headlined, “see less of Mike Colling this summer”. Never one to turn down that sort of opportunity I was a little disappointed to find the former WWAV man wasn’t promising to do quite what it said on the tin, so to speak.
In fact, a friend of his is rowing the entire length of the Mississippi – 2,380 miles – and our Mike is joining him to row “a little bit” in aid of a charity close to his heart, Right to Play.
Of course, my first reaction was “wow, a charity dedicated to sex games?” Sadly, it’s not quite as exciting but it is committed to empowering women to play…sport.
So, if like me, you’d love to see less of Colling and also support the sisterhood here’s the link to donate.
Apparently £30 will provide weekly play and sport activities for one child for one year, £50 will provide five children with sports kit to play football, volleyball and other team games, £250 will train two coaches to serve their communities and £1,000 will make sure Colling’s mate smashes a massive hole in the boat and it sinks without trace…
Come on girls, you know it makes sense.
