O the month of May, the merry month of May, So frolic, so gay, and so green, so green, so green! O, and then did I unto my true love say: “Sweet Peg, thou shalt be my summer’s queen!”
Yep, as you may have guessed, your favourite gossip girl is in a chipper mood today, fresh from a Decision Marketing team night out, with Roxy, Meggy and Peggy from Skeggy, and even the gorgeous, witty, brainy and übersexy proprietor of Spoon Creative Ltd, Mr Jonathan Spooner Esq.
Oh how we laughed and cried and laughed some more at our favourite columnist’s anecdotes of agencyland in the 1980s, the 1990s, the 2000s, and the 2010s; so much funnier than McKelvey’s boring tales of Data Strategy, Mortgage Strategy, Brand Strategy, Pension Strategy and Strategy Strategy.
Anyway, just when I was starting to think life couldn’t get any better than this, up popped an email inviting me to XBIZ Miami, apparently one of the biggest events in the adult entertainment calendar, which brings together all segments of the industry: creators, performers, content producers, webmasters, brand execs, marketers, developers and service providers, among other market players.
Naturally, Pornhub will be there on May 14 and 15, and I have been invited to “come by our poolside cabana to chat with our brand ambassadors Asa Akira and Natassia Dreams, as well as top ranking model Elly Clutch”.
It is also hosting a creator workshop on May 15 in the Gallery Room. Alex Kekesi, head of community and brand at Pornhub, and Sana Gaziani, recent XBIZ exec award winner and the director of content creator relationships at Pornhub, will be talking about recent events, including age verification, tips to help creators, and the latest developments on the platform.
And, I must admit, the model programme does sound pretty attractive, boasting “Massive Traffic” (take advantage of our 3 billion visits a month traffic – get new fans and viewers daily; “Modelhub Website” (your paid videos automatically appear on your Modelhub site, that way you can advertise a site that only shows your paid videos to your fans); and “Autotweets” (connect your social media accounts to bring your fans to your pages).
It also gives you access to “Blogs and Video Tips” (read, listen and watch the latest tips and tricks to making the biggest buck for your bang); “Social Promotions” (our social channels combined have over 2 million followers, get your content in front of all those people); and finally “Active Communities” (join our Discord and Reddit communities to promote your content, find fellow content producers and make like-minded friends).
Now, I don’t know this for certain, but I am guessing even The Drum Network can’t offer all that…
