Brand owners are being offered a new service which allows them to swap media opportunities – from email and direct mail data to web banners and social media promotions – on a like-for-like basis.
Dubbed MediaSwap, the scheme is the brainchild of Howse Jackson Marketing, one of the UK’s leading affinity marketing and brand partnership specialists.
It has been borne out of the need for brands to be able to source data and media exchange deals without the need for employing multiple agencies and third parties. It also claimed to greatly expand the available media opportunities on the market, many of which are not advertised or available publicly.
All swap deals are researched, created and managed by HJ Marketing, with a swap arrangement fee starting at £250. Any marketing channel can be swapped – although ‘like for like’ swaps are expected to be the most popular arrangement.
By using MediaSwap, it is claimed that clients can save up to 80% on media costs as well as gain access to ‘fresh’ marketing channels which typically perform better and can be positioned as a partner offer.
Regardless of size, brands with any of the following channels can utilise MediaSwap:
– Inserts/flyers
– Email data
– Website display banners
– Off the page ads
– Banners on order confirmation pages & emails
– Direct mail data
– SMS data
– Social media promotions
HJ Marketing co-founder and director Mark Jackson said: “The practice of exchanging media allows companies access to rarely available marketing channels, all at much lower cost. Moreover these channels often outperform because they are ‘fresh’ and rarely used.
“At a time when budgets are under pressure, the ability to swap media opportunities with like-minded companies offers a tremendous opportunity for all marketers, regardless of sector.”
