To millions of TV viewers she is the steely Apprentice finalist, but what many in this industry may not know is that Jade Nash is also business development manager at DLG – and tipped by some to win the 2012 BBC One show.
Hailed as the dark horse of this year’s competition, according to gaming site Bettingpro.com, Nash “has flown under the radar for much of the process, although she played a blinder to help oust Adam and has the passion and drive to go close next week”.
Nash’s odds have been slashed to 5/2 – putting her ahead of Ricky Martin on 5/1 and just behind Tom Gearing on 2/1. Nick Holzherr is favourite on 11/10.
Nash, 29, started her career at Trader Media Group – which publishes the likes of Auto Trader – as a regional manager in 2004. After four years she joined Yell as account manager, joining DLG two years later.
According to the official BBC Apprentice blurb: “Jade feels her strength is her resilience and says that she doesn’t have any annoying habits. She enjoys going to the gym, hosting dinner parties and her passions are money, her friends and life.
“Jade loves cars and often attends drag racing events. She lists her parents as her role models, as both have their own businesses, her father owns a holiday park and her mother is a funeral celebrant.”
The BBC One Apprentice final will air at 8:30pm on Sunday June 3.
