Communisis fills top marketing role

Communisis has created the role of marketing director – which includes a place on the executive board – and appointed SunGard Financial Systems chief Tanya Cooper to the role.
Cooper has over 20 years’ experience in the marketing industry. At SunGard, she was director of marketing for EMEA and Latin America. Prior to this, she was client services director at Best & Co and group account director at GA Corporate Marketing.
Her brief is to lead the group marketing strategy and support continued business development. Cooper has been brought in to ensure profitable expansion of the client base and to offer product and service solutions to Communisis customers.
Communisis chief executive Andy Blundell commented: “The appointment of a senior level marketer of Tanya’s calibre is an exciting and directional move for the company. As Communisis continues to execute successfully on its growth plan, the marketing strategy will be crucial. We are confident Tanya will excel in this challenging role.”
Cooper added: “I look forward to using my experience and knowledge in this field to contribute to the company’s continued growth.”
Earlier this month the company revealed it had made a double acquisition – software production agency Kieon and social media agency Yomego – as it unveiled an upbeat interim report.
