Omaid Hiwaizi has quit Publicis Chemistry become planning director of digital agency SapientNitro, to boost to the company’s marketing strategy and analytics capability.
His appointment follows SapientNitro’s £26m acquisition of the digital and direct marketing agency DAD earlier this month.
Hiwaizi will work on UK and global client accounts across the company’s clients to understand their business needs, objectives and brand. He will also work with the creative and technology functions.
He started his career at as an art editor on i-D Magazine, before co-founding his own agency in 1995, Hubbard Hiwaizi McCann, where he was creative director and then planning director.
The agency relaunched as Crayon in 2005 and he left in 2008, eventually joining Chemistry Communications – now Publicis Chemistry after sealing the buyout deal – in July of that year.
