Ideal Shopping appoints Acxiom

TV and online retailer Ideal Shopping Direct has appointed Acxiom to drive customer value by implementing and supporting customer lifecycle marketing across its four brands.
Under the deal Acxiom will develop a single customer marketing database, supporting Ideal Shopping’s desire to become a truly customer-focused business, delivering incremental revenue and maximising customer lifetime value for all of its brands.
Ideal Shopping’s ultimate aim is to provide a personalised, consistent shopping experience across multiple channels for all of its customers.
By leveraging customer and sales data from Ideal Shopping’s brands – Ideal World.TV, Create and Craft.TV, Garden Bargains and Animal Bargains – and consolidating it in one database, Acxiom will enable Ideal Shopping to recognise, understand and respond to customers with relevant offers through an individual’s preferred channel. This information will be enhanced by Acxiom’s data, analytical and direct marketing support services to trigger customer campaigns.
Ideal Shopping Direct chief executive Mike Hancox said: “As we strive to remain a leading multichannel retailer, we want to provide a better customer experience, increase transactions, and improve our retention and customer interaction rates.
“Acxiom’s involvement is an important piece of our business transformation to get closer to, and provide the best possible service to, our customers. The fact that Acxiom can deliver within three months was very eye-catching. We are delighted to have it as an intrinsic part of our customer engagement strategy over the next three years.”
Acxiom Europe sales vice-president Rafael Roa added: “We’re excited to work with one of the UK’s fastest-growing multichannel retailers on this insight-driven engagement. This win allows us to continue to demonstrate that we can quickly add value to a client relationship and help businesses build customer-centric marketing strategies that increase consumer engagement and create great experiences.”
