The move follows the departure of chief operating officer Richard Perry and planning boss Richard Mabbott who to set up their own consultancy, Founded, earlier this month.
Katherine Torrence joins as client services director, a role made vacant by Wright’s promotion. Having started her UK-career with Wunderman, Torrence has held a number of consultancy roles and was previously managing partner at agency.com. She will also head up the T-Mobile, FedEx and L’Oreal accounts.
Also joining is Scott Hendry, as UK planning director and David Brown as data planning director. Hendry has joined from Proximity/BBDO where he was European planning director for three years and headed up its P&G business. Meanwhile Brown joined from Royal Mail, here he held a number of consultancy roles and was previously CRM & strategy director at Carlson Marketing.
Finally, Anthony Abdool has joined as head of copy from EHS4D, where he was a senior copywriter for over six years. He has previously worked at Saatchi & Saatchi, Wunderman and Ogilvy & Mather.
Wright said: “These hires reflect the growth and development of the agency over the last six months. It is great to have our senior positions filled by such talent and experience from across the agency world.”
