WDMP has appointed former Wunderman client group managing director Simon Taylor to the new role of client services director.
Following extensive new client gains this year, the agency has been hunting someone to head up account management and to build a client focused solutions hub within the organisation which incorporates planning, account management, creative and strategy.
Having worked both agency and client-side across CRM disciplines, Taylor brings a wealth of experience in data analysis and consumer insights, which drive the most effective brand building as well as direct and interactive communications.
Before joining WDMP, Taylor ran his own business, Bright Blue Interactive, delivering branding, digital and design solutions to clients and agencies, working on brands as diverse as NHS, Stella Artois, McCain and HTC.
Previous to this he spent over 10 years at Wunderman, where he managed the global CRM accounts for Jaguar and Land Rover and was instrumental in major brand developments, including several award-winning campaigns for Range Rover and Land Rover.
Taylor has client experience across many major brands including Citibank Barclays, Kraft, Adidas, Learn Direct, and M&S as well as Volvo, Mazda, Kia and Iveco.
WDMP chief executive Gavin Wheeler said: “Simon brings much valued client relationship experience to our expanding team. Our clients’ needs are always evolving and we pride ourselves on providing appropriate solutions that are all encompassing and diverse. Simon will be crucial to our continued delivery of quality leadership and exceptional CRM solutions. We are confident that his strategic and leadership expertise will bring immediate benefits both to our clients and the business as a whole. Good people make great agencies and we are extremely pleased that Simon has joined us and are certain he will play a key role in our future plans.”
