Riviera Travel, one of the UK’s leading overseas escorted tours and river cruise operators, is set to make its TV debut after appointing WPN Chameleon to handle its account.
The company has previously marketed its tours through the reader offers pages of newspapers and magazines, with little or no visible Riviera branding.
However, it is now it is set to run its first DRTV ad, devised by WPN, launching on the December 29 across major UK channels including Sky, ITV and Channel 4 Partners.
Riviera Travel marketing director Ben Hitchcock said: “With a focus to grow Riviera Travel across the sector, we knew we needed to have the right mixture of great creative that drives response.
“WPN Chameleon has unparalleled experience, especially with taking brands onto TV, but also understand our passion for travel and placing the customer at the heart of the activity. An essential combination for working together.”
Founded in 1984, Riviera Travel now operates 13 ships across 15 tours for its river cruises. Every year around half a million people book onto an Escorted Tour or River Cruise.
