Two go walkies with Guide Dogs

two go walkies with guide dogsGuide Dogs has pulled its combined creative and media account from Rapp and split it between Proximity London and Mike Colling & Company following a review launched in January.
Rapp had handled fundraising activity since 2010, including all Guide Dogs’ legacy, regular giving and cash donation activity. However, the agency only picked up the combined media and creative accounts last June but withdrew from this pitch at an earlier stage.
Proximity will now oversee Guide Dogs’ DM fundraising and advertising, while MC&C will work on media planning and buying.
The win will be even sweeter for Mike Colling, as it is said he likes nothing more than getting one over on his former agency. Colling was at Rapp – then called WWAV Rapp Collins – for eight years before setting up his eponymous business in 2002.
Guide Dogs director of fundraising and marketing Jayne George said: “We have big ambitions to support many more people with sight loss and we have huge income growth targets to make that possible.
“The teams at Guide Dogs are looking forward to working with Proximity, who have demonstrated their resolution to support us in our life-changing work.”
