Busty finds pleasure at the DMAs

gossip-three-23-300x30011Oh what a night…the glitz, the glamour, the gospel choir, Jimmy Carr, the flame-thrower in my face – that’s right, the DMA Awards certainly didn’t disappoint this year. A great time was had by all – and I’ve been told I was definitely enjoying myself, too…
To be fair, it’s the one night of the year when everyone seems relaxed. I mean, even Marc Nohr was smiling. Jonathan Harman, on the other hand, seemed slightly perplexed. It appears that they’re working him so hard down at Royal Mail that he’s literally half the man he was last year.
At first I thought maybe he’d paid a visit to my old plastic surgeon fella, Mr Perfect, as he must’ve lost about three stone. Apparently not. Our Jonathan has actually been going to the gym a lot. Mind you, he’s obviously been overdoing the old weights as he was telling me he’s got to go under the knife next week for a hernia op. Ouch.
One bloke who was looking more than a little chipper was the indefatigable Gavin Wheeler. And why not, I thought, he’s tall, he’s dark and he’s handsome? And as if that isn’t enough, WDMP also walked off with the top prize for Monarch Airlines.
In fact, the virtual reality campaign was so good, they’re doing it all again this year, too. All of which means he must be off skiing in the new year. Whether his old pal, Jonathan Stead, can still afford to go is a moot point, given the collapse of Rapier. Maybe Gavin can get him a free ticket…
Anyway, back to me. One minute I was sandwiched between Steve Stretton and Steve Aldridge (now, there’s a vision); the next I was stumbling around the dance-floor rather worse for wear. I do hope they didn’t spike my drink.
Luckily, help was at hand as I was whisked away by a young, dashing account director from Lida. Now, I’ve always had a bit of a soft spot for the M&C Saatchi-owned agency, and it seems my young admirer was very keen to show his gratitude for the great coverage they get on this website.
Suffice to say, he certainly touched the spot well into the early hours…with a silky tongue and stamina like that, Moray MacLennan could soon to be out of a job.

  1. RT @BustyIdol: Harman, Aldridge, Stretton or Wheeler? No thanks, I had the full works from @lidalondon at this year’s DMA Awards http://t…
