Foxy ready to feast on the DMA Awards smorgasbord

foxy 414“Because I’m happy, Clap along if you feel like a room without a roof, Because I’m happy, Clap along if you feel like happiness is the truth, Because I’m happy, Clap along if you know what happiness is to you, Because I’m happy, Clap along if you feel like that’s what you wanna do…”
Yep, you guessed it, Foxy fans, the dashingly handsome Tim “007” Bond has come up trumps and I’ve got my mitts on a golden ticket to the ball.
Now, I realise the prospect of rubbing shoulders with the good, the bad and the ugly of the direct marketing world might not be everyone’s idea of a good night out, but I am really looking forward to it. After all, I am a DMA Awards virgin you know.
Mind you, I am still waiting for the postman to deliver my dream outfit; luckily I did pick up a nice LBD in the Black Friday sales…
Still, according to the official line I can expect a “firecracker of an evening” with “a true smorgasbord of marketing talent, all under one roof”.
Sounds very promising. Whether that includes a lot of fit young men and even rich old ones, too, I am not sure, but apparently there is wall to wall drink, a three course meal, and a photobooth or two to capture the night in glorious technicolour. What’s not to like?
Not only that but one of the shining lights of the sisterhood – “the exceptionally talented Katherine Ryan” – will be making sure everyone behaves. And woe betide the ones who don’t, that girl has got a right tongue on her.
Talking of which I have already been read the riot act and am under strict instructions to behave as, it seems, Busty did let the side down on more than one occasion. And my esteemed editor is taking few chances this year as he has booked me into the Easy Hotel in, of all places, EAST CROYDON.
By his own calculations, I will have to leave so early that I can’t get into trouble. What could possibly go wrong?
