Why Foxy is getting her big tips out for all of her fans

Ever wondered why the warmer weather makes you feel more frisky? Well, according to a new study by Lovehoney (yes, of course they are trying to push sex toys, quite literally it seems), there are numerous factors which put the libido into overdrive.

And, just in case you think I’m making this shit up again, I have tapped one of the finest minds in clinical sexology, no lesser expert than www.thesexconsultant.com founder Ness Cooper. And it is her you must thank for helping me reveal my big tips for the summer.

First, young Nessy reckons that sunlight has the potential to increase serotonin levels, which can boost our mood and leave us feeling far more energised and raring to go.

Second, during warmer weather we can experience a rise in vitamin D, which can increase our libido and make us more receptive to sexual pleasure, with a much higher chance of experiencing orgasms, apparently.

Third, summer food may also lead to better blood sugars, as often it is less stuffed with carbohydrates (I have no idea what she’s talking about here as I am a chippy tea addict all year round) and this can help blood flow “down below” and improve response to sexual stimulation.

And, finally, the freedom of summer holidays might also play a part. Ms Cooper explains: “Often, summer has a focus of going away on holiday, which has an increase in people wanting to explore causal encounters. There’s also a higher chance of having sex on holiday, as you’re able to relax more without the stress and worries of work.” (Unless of course you work here when you have to toil away on holiday, too, before you can even think about slipping one in.)

Then again, it seems if you live in the South, you don’t need to go away at all to get some bedroom action, as London and Brighton top the Lovehoney survey charts for the most sexually open-minded cities in the summer.

But what, I hear you ask, has all this got to do with the glorious world of marketing that you all love more than life itself?

Well, the last time I looked, most marketers were actually human too, so, dear Foxy fans, go forth and enjoy your summer lovin’ before the bloody robots take over that pleasure as well.
