23red hires M&C man for top role

Felix, Jane, Sean23red has boosted its line-up on the back of a major expansion of the agency’s business, with the appointment of M&C Saatchi senior director Felix Hall as managing director.
Hall (pictured) has been at M&C Saatchi for the past 14 years, having had spells at Partners BDDH, AMV, Publicis and BBH.
At M&C he oversaw the Transport for London account, among others, and headed up one of the agency’s four core client business groups and 14 staff.
In his new role he will work closely with the three founding partners: head of strategy and management Jane Asscher, creative chief Sean Kinmont,  and operations boss Philippa Dunning, as well as strategic advisor Hamish Pringle, the former IPA director general who joined in July 2011.
As well as day-to-day operations, Hall will oversee the continued expansion of the agency.
Asscher said: “The last 12 months have seen 23red growing at a rate of over 20% year-on-year. We needed to have someone with Felix’s energy and ambition to help us build on this success.
Hall added: “For me, there are two strong and important reasons to join 23red. First off is their unique portfolio of brands – the opportunity to work with clients like Public Health England (PHE) and Bacardi under the same roof is just too good to miss. Secondly, the 23red clarity of proposition – Do. Feel. Think. – really resonates with me.”
23red’s client list also includes the Atkins diet brand, which it won 18 months ago, Bluewater shopping centre and National Employment Savings Trust.
