Irish cider brand Magners has reportedly hired Elvis to handle its promotional marketing account, following a pitch.
The agency will be responsible for all on and off trade marketing, including activity in pubs, bars and off-licences. It will include shopper marketing and promotional activity.
The agency will also work with supermarkets and brewers, alongside Magners’ current agencies, The Red Brick Road which handles the ad account and Glue Isobar which runs digital marketing.
Magners is now the number one packaged cider brand in Great Britain, and available in 17 markets around the world. The brand is owned by Bulmers, which also markets the brand of the same name. The product range includes the cider varieties: Magners Original, Magners Light, Magners Pear and Magners Berry.
The current TV campaign for involves ads that run in each of the seasons. They show a brief shot of an orchard in seasonal conditions – bare and snow covered in winter, lush and green with sunny skies in summer – at the start of the advert, and then show how people enjoy the drink during these seasons – by a warm fire in winter, out in the warm sun during summer.
