Mondelez International has hired Elvis to handle Cadbury’s entire digital marketing account – including social media activity – across its UK brand portfolio, following a competitive pitch.
The appointment covers all Cadbury’s brands, including Dairy Milk, Creme Egg, Wispa and Marvellous Creations, and see the business consolidated into a single agency for the first time. Elvis beat We Are Social and AKQA to secure the account.
Previously the company used a number of agencies on different brands; Stack (formerly CMW) used to handle some work, including Creme Eggs’ “Goo Dares Wins”, although Elvis recently ran the brand’s most successful European social media activity to date, which encouraged Facebook fans to “have a fling” with the snack.
Elvis managing director Tanya Brookfield cited this campaign as a major influence on the decision to appoint the agency. She said: “Our work for the Creme Egg brand has been recognised and awarded globally, and this win will see a continuation of best-in-class digital and social campaigns across all Cadbury brands.”
Cadbury marketing manager Lucy Evans said: “We have a packed year ahead, and Elvis’ expertise and creative flair will help us deliver world-class digital and social campaigns.”
