Caravan Club appoints Amaze for digital brief

caravan clubThe Caravan Club, the organisation which is attempting to shrug off its pipe and slippers image, has appointed Amaze to ramp up its digital strategy following a competitive pitch.
The main thrust of Amaze’s work will be to redevelop the brand’s website, which currently attracts nearly 15 million visits a year.
As well as coordinating all elements of the roll-out of the site, Amaze will be responsible for delivering a more digitally orientated customer experience, alongside creative enhancements and training to staff for the site’s ongoing management.
The Caravan Club director of finance Russell Hudson said: “Amaze’s expertise, from a technology perspective, clearly stood out from its competitors and its experience working on community-side projects made it an obvious choice as our digital partner.
“The new site will be a stepping-stone to this end; a true reflection of our brand and, from a technology perspective, it will offer us more opportunities for business growth in the future. It’s the first step in our long-term digital strategy.”
Amaze business director Joanna Hinchliffe added: “The Caravan Club has been an integral part of British culture for over 100 years. Our broad skill set has allowed us to truly get to the heart of the organisation, to deliver an effective solution that brings real commercial value and the best possible experience for members and non members.”
St Ives-owned Amaze already works for a raft of clients in the travel and retail sectors, working with clients such as Pizza Hut Restaurants, Virgin Trains East Coast and the Co-operative Group.
