Lateral Group has continued the expansion of its creative deparment as part of plans to build a full-service offer – from creative to data and print – which saw Mike Cavers become the firm’s first executive creative director earlier this year.
Former Saatchi & Saatchi team, art director Owen Clarke and copywriter Nick Kay, join as a senior integrated creative team. They have a wealth of experience working within other major agencies such including Dare, Dentsu, and Dunnhumby, with clients that include Millets, Tesco Clubcard, Canon, T-Mobile, Pizza Express and Dove.
Digital designer Simon Barna joins after working on Coca-Cola at McCann Budapest. Prior to this, he was at strategic brand design company Ludic Group, where he worked on Barclays, Rio Tinto, BBC and Fujitsu.
All three will report to Cavers, who has a remit to build an integrated creative department for Lateral to deliver data driven creative campaigns and programmes across a broad client base.
Cavers said: “Because we are building a more agile creative offering that truly embraces data, digital and technology – it’s great to attract talent like Simon, Nick and Owen, who have experience in delivering successful campaigns in this space.”
