DraftFCB London has parted company with executive creative director Mark Fiddes, who has held the role for just over three years, and handed the top creative job to head of ideas Alistair Ross.
Fiddes joined DraftFCB in 2009 from Euro RSCG, working across advertising, digital and direct marketing for clients Nivea, Hyundai, Post Office, Taco Bell, Coca Cola, COI and Oreo.
Having studied philosophy, politics and economics at university, Fiddes started his career in publishing in the US in 1982, as editor of Dollars & Sense, a campaigning political magazine.
On returning to the UK, he switched agency side to join IMP in 1988 – then run by the team led by John Farrell – where he rose to executive creative director.
In 1993, Fiddes was hired by HHCL & Partners. At the time HHCL was a ground-breaking agency as it was one of the first to operate on a truly integrated basis.
He left in 1999 to be creative partner, joining established agency Davies Little Cowley which became Davies Little Cowley Fiddes.
By 2003 he was global creative director at Euro RSCG Global, where he stayed for 6 years working on the portfolio of Reckitt Benckiser brands across all media and global markets, as well as Jaguar and Bayer.
Fiddes was not available for comment.
