GI Solutions promotes Patrick Headley to CEO

headleyGI Solutions Group has overhauled its senior team following the creation of three separate business divisions – GI Insight & Cognesia; GI Red (launched last month) and GI Solutions – as part of a strategy to offer a full suite of data-led marketing services. 
Patrick Headley, who has been at the company nearly 23 years, has been promoted from managing director to chief executive of the group, which will encompass data, creative and communication.
He joined in 1993 as sales director after a four-year stint at Colorgraphic.
The managing directors of each division, Andy Wood for GI Insight, Darren Crawford for GI Red and Alistair Ezzy for GI Solutions will report into him while former CEO Robin Welch will take on the role of chairman.
Welch joined GI in 1992 and led the management buyout of the business seven years later, as well as a major investment by Grove Industries in 2008.
Headley said: “We are considering investments and new technology projects for 2016 which will deliver increasing sales and growth for our customers. It’s also great that I can count on Robin’s support and experience in his new role as chairman.”
