While most will be stuffed with turkey and the trimmings, Haven Holidays is aiming to get consumers to think about their next break, with its first TV ad campaign for two years.
Devised by media planning and buying agency Arena, the campaign – running across TV, VOD, social and online display – will launch on Christmas Day in the prime ad spot following the Queen’s Speech.
It will target families, focusing specifically on mums and be supported by Haven’s first cinema campaign during family films.
Showcasing a range of ‘Haven Days’ – from outdoorsy activity days, to indoor cosy days – the campaign will demonstrate every aspect of a Haven holiday, and will encourage people to share their own holiday experiences via social platforms. The creative was developed by Andy Imrie and Claus Larsen at Souk.
Haven has 35 family holiday parks around the UK coastline and next year the firm will be investing over £50m in its parks, including new swimming pools, restaurants, landscaping and pitch developments and new accommodation.
Abi Ward, group business director at Arena, said: “This is an innovative step change for such a strong UK holiday brand, and it’s a thrilling glimpse into what 2015 has in store for Haven in terms of audience-centric work that is firmly rooted in digital.”
