Jacob Bailey Group has acquired 032 Design, a retail packaging and promotional agency, which counts Coca-Cola, Greene King, and Ryvita among its clients, for an undisclosed sum.
The deal involves 032 Design becoming part of the Jacob Bailey Group, that also includes creative agency White Space and a client list featuring Fred Olsen Cruise Lines, MasterCard and BT.
The merged group will have a headcount of 50 and be based at Jacob Bailey’s Shoreditch and Suffolk offices.
Jacob Bailey Group co-founder and chief executive Shaun Bailey (pictured, right) said the acquisition was prompted by retail’s “increasing digitisation” and client demand for customer insight to engage with consumers at every touch point in the customer journey.
He added: “The deal allows us to merge Jacob Bailey’s technology, data and creative expertise with 032’s skills in the increasingly digitised promotional and packaging sector.
“Welcoming 032 into the Jacob Bailey Group is another important move in boosting our credentials in the vital food, beverages and retail sectors while adding new technical skills to our portfolio.”
032 Design managing director Peter Rumsey (left) said: “Being part of a wider digital creative group provides our customers with access to complementary expertise in strategy, digital planning, web and mobile technical development, customer insight and video production, from our Suffolk studio and now also from the group’s base in Shoreditch, London.”
Under the terms of the acquisition, the group will continue to be led by Shaun Bailey with Peter Rumsey continuing as managing director of O32 while also joining the wider group management team.
