McCawley grabs managing director role at Acuity

mccawleyLimelight client services director Ian McCawley has quit the firm to take up the role of managing director of Acuity PR, part of Ingenuity, with a brief to build the operation and oversee client relationships, as well as bring in new business.
McCawley, who had been at Limelight since February 2013, spent the first ten years of his career in journalism, starting in the local press before going on to hold senior roles at both Precision Marketing and Marketing Week; he was also part of the launch team behind Data Strategy.
He then had several stints at PR agencies in content and B2B client director roles, working with advertising and marketing agencies within global groups including WPP, Omnicom and Publicis.
At Acuity, his experience will underpin the agency’s proposition of PR working hand in glove with the new business process for clients, creating content and media presence around their activity.
Ingenuity chief executive Chris Kemp said: “Ian’s experience of bringing together PR, marketing and sales, as well as his editorial expertise, will be invaluable as we look to grow both Acuity and Ingenuity in 2016 and beyond.”
McCawley added: “This is a fantastic opportunity to prove what other agencies claim: that PR really can help boost sales. I’m looking forward to working with Chris and the team.”
