Millennium unveils address file

movingWilmington Millennium, the company behind Mortascreen, has unveiled its second product in as many months with the launch of a database that gives direct marketers access to the new addresses for goneaway customers.
Dubbed Smartlink, the scheme will sit alongside recently launched Smartdepart, as well as Mortascreen and Halo, in the company’s product portfolio.
As with Smartdepart, Smartlink has been created following a collaboration between consumer data specialist Tracesmart and Mortascreen.
The product is designed to help organisations reduce the estimated £150m they waste each year by mailing customers at their old addresses.
Drawing on Tracesmart’s heritage and expertise in tracing consumers, Smartlink comprises 23 million up-to-date records, helping organisations to source their customers’ new addresses, and helping them to retain business, which would previously have been lost.
Tracesmart managing director Mike Trezise said: “It’s commonly known that retaining an existing customer, or winning a customer back who has lapsed, is more cost-effective than recruiting a new one.
“I believe Smartlink will be a breath of fresh air to those professionals who have been using the traditional bureaux databases, as it calls upon our unique address linking database, using links which other files will miss.”
Wilmington Millennium product director Karen Pritchard added: “The overwhelming response to the launch of Smartdepart has proven that there is a real need within the industry for a verified, more robust goneaway file.
Progressing our partnership with Tracesmart, we can now bring Smartlink to the market. As impressive in quality as it is competitive in price, we’re confident that Smartlink – with 23 million forwarding addresses – will be well received by those seeking a more intuitive way to manage data.”
