No.3 Gin, the London Dry Gin brand owned by Berry Bros & Rudd, has appointed BBD Perfect Storm to handle its global brand repositioning and creative communications following a three-way competitive pitch.
The agency has been briefed to create a new global brand positioning and brand platform for No.3 Gin, which will run across consumer and trade communication channels supported by significant investment. The pitch was handled in house.
The new brand platform will be rolled out across No.3 Gin’s key markets, including the UK, US, Germany and Spain.
BBD Perfect Storm was briefed to build on No.3 Gin’s reputation following the brand’s success in winning the International Spirits Challenge in 2012, 2013 and 2015.
The name of the brand is inspired by Berry Bros & Rudd’s location in the heart of London, No.3 St James’s Street, and the gin itself is distilled as a classic London Dry Gin.
No.3 Gin global brand manager Sandrine Tyrbas de Chamberet said: “No.3 Gin is without question one of the best gins in the world, we want to bring it to new audiences and have ambitious plans for further growth. We were really impressed by BBD Perfect Storm’s ability to synthesize our thinking as we inject a fresh creative direction into the brand’s positioning.”
BBD Perfect Storm chief executive Jason Foo added: “We’re incredibly proud to be working with one of the finest gin brands on the market. It’s time for the creative communications to fulfil the brand’s enormous potential.”
