Rapp brings in Laura Holme to lead new biz team

laura holmeRapp is beefing up its senior team with the appointment of Publicis chief Laura Holme to the role of vice-president of new business and marketing director.
Holme had been at Publicis since 2014, initially joining Publicis Chemistry as new biz director before being handed a wider group role in 2015.
Having started her career in 1988 at Bastable-Dailey, Holme also had spells at some of the DM industry’s leading agencies including, Harrison Troughton Wunderman, Proximity and DraftFCB. She joined Publicis from Mcgarrybowen, where she had been since March 2013.
In one recommendation on LinkedIn, former Mcgarrybowen boss Toby Sachs said: “Laura did an amazing job. She is a consummate new biz professional, from repping reputation, through the pitch process, to launching new accounts on the path to success.”
Rapp is attempting to move on from a turbulent few months, which has seen the agency’s name dragged through the courts in the US following accusations against global chief executive Alexei Orlov.
Former US president Greg Andersen is pursuing a claim of discrimination, retaliation and wrongful termination against Orlov, who is also accused of being a “destructive” force. The agency continues to challenge the claims.
Orlov resigned last week, and was succeeded by former Rapp UK chief executive Marco Scognamiglio.
