Rapp revamps top creative team

Rapp has appointed six new associate creative directors as part of a restructure of the agency’s creative department by chief creative officer Rik Haslam, that also involves a number of promotions.
Russell Garn joins following a stint freelancing at agencies including Being/Hakuhodo, TBWA Paling Walters, TBWA and MARS-Y&R.
He was previously a group head at Gyro – from March 2009 to May 2011 – working on accounts such as HP, New Zealand Lamb, HSS Hire, Virgin Atlantic and the Post Office, as well as successful pitches for Sony, T-Mobile, Fujitsu and Standard Chartered. Garn has also held permanent copywriter roles at Joshua G2, EHS Brann, Grey Worldwide and FCBi.
Senior copywriters Clare Wilson and Stephen ‘Sid’ Gordon, along with senior art directors Shelby Meale, Jacob Kirk and Adam Rolfe have all been promoted to associate creative directors.
The changes have been made following the Virgin Media account win.
Haslam (pictured, centre) said: “We have set ourselves ambitious creative targets this year and the appointment of Russell to join our new tier of associate creative directors will help us achieve these.
“The promotions reflect the stunning work that Clare, Sid, Jake, Adam and Shelby have contributed to the department and their commitment to ensuring we continue to push ourselves to deliver customer experiences that are profitable for our clients.”
