Rob Salmon quits Teradata to take top SAP position

rob salmonRob Salmon has quit his role as commercial director at Teradata Applications to join German software giant SAP as sales director for its HCM solutions.
Best known in the direct marketing industry as the man who founded and built data company Meta-morphix into a £6.5m turnover business, Salmon had been at Teradata just over two-and-a-half years.
He started his career in 1991 at Comptex, then had spells at Acxiom and Experian before setting up Meta-morphix in 1991, with backing from the REaD Group and Tri-Direct.
Salmon left Meta-morphix in 2011 after it was folded into The REad Group and since then worked at Blueprint Management Systems and itelligence UK before joining Teradata in November 2013.
SAP is one of the largest software companies in the world, with regional offices in 130 countries and over 293,500 customers.
In recent years it has made major inroads into the sporting world, signing deals with City Football Group, the owners of Manchester City FC among others, German Bundesliga team FC Bayern Munich, and the German national team to provide data-driven insight to boost performance both on and off the pitch.
